De Maeght is een zuiver natuurbier, blond , 7 vol.% alc., met de fijnste hoppe en zelfs een hoppe-belletje in de fles. In feite is het niet meer en niet minder dan een wereldwonder.

Hazy blond colour with massive soapy head and a bud of hop! Aroma has a mild, fresh hop edge. Clean, refreshing taste some green grassy notes and citrusy hop leading to a bitter finish.

Bottled at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Cloudy straw colour, lively. The hop cone sticks in the bottle neck as a randallizer. Distinct grassy hop aroma. Sweetish, fruity and spritzy with medium body and an abundance of brassy hops. Salty dried druits, drier finish with good bitterness. Elegant beer with a distinct selling feature.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Hilpeä Hauki, 20120120) A medium gusher. The beer poured orange and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had yeast, fruitiness and hops. Palate was medium bodied with quite high carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, yeast, hops, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, fruity and bitter. A bit mild and weak beer with no flaws.

Underholdende. Kan trykt fastslå at dette er et ufiltrert øl. Appelsinfarget. Uklar. Høyt luftig skum. Krydderaroma. Mye kullsyre som overdøver smaken - men litt frukt & pepper observert. Veldig uklar mot slutten.

(bottle, 33cl) Almost cloudy, golden coloured hue with hop-particles floating around and a blond diminishing frothy head. Mildly malty and phenolic aroma with present herbal, grassy and slightly sweaty hops. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dry malty taste with traces of citrus and a good dash of mainly herbal and slightly grassy hops; dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish with phenolic spices and a tinge of sourness. Nice but not world-shaking. 11.X.11

Bottle, at Cafe Ondineke. An unclear, golden-orange beer with a dense, white, finger-thick head. Grains, grassy hops and peppery hints on the nose. The flavor has some honey like notes, with fruityness, grains and a decent bitterness as well. Nice bitterness in the end. Smooth, dryish and at the same time sweet on the palate. A quite decent beer, but it failed to raise interest. 110430

330 ml bottle @ Café Ondineke in Aalst. Hazy orange body with a big, foamy white head. Aroma is fruity, spicy and hoppy with some ripe apples and a hint of acidity. Flavor is refreshing fruity, spicy, herbal and balanced sweetness with bitterness. A bit perfumed as well without adding anything negative to the beer. Tasty, fresh and interesting beer.

330ml bottle, 7% abv, carefully opened by the bartender at Café Ondineke. Soapy, white head. Hazy golden. Smell of ripe fruity hops. Fruity taste with candy sweetness and herbal dryness. Bittersweet ending. Dry hopped. Yeah, we saw the flower jump out of the virgin. Tasty (shared with Finn, Aalst 30.04.2011).

26/05/2011 33cl bottle @ home - Bottled: FEB/2011 (2011-228)
Dark blond to amber cloudy beer, off-white head, unstable, falls down fast to a small layer. Lots of small light beige chunks floating around. Aroma: citrus fruits, sweet malts, ripe fruits, flowers, herbs, a bit piny even. Very complex and promising. MF: light carbon, full body, bit syrupy texture. Taste: sweet malts, some candi sugar, pretty fruity turning towards citrus fruits. Aftertaste: pretty bitter but not too dry, lots of citrus and some sugar. Alcohol is clearly present in the aftertaste. Weird with only 7% ABV (indicated on bottle).
