Dit heerlijke zachte en volromige bier is in december 2013 na de Dubbelbock als tweede seizoensbier op de markt gekomen. Met zijn 10% alcohol en zijn diep donkere kleur is het een bier dat volledig recht doet aan zijn type. Door het gebruik van ontbitterde zwarte mouten, vriendelijke Europese edele hoppen, toevoegingen met mooie kruiden, curacaoschillen, zoethout en bruine suiker is het een complex bier geworden met vele smaken als kruidig, fruitig, chocola, drop en koffie. Door rijping vloeien al die heerlijke smaken ineen tot een hartverwarmend bier. Eentje per avond bij de open haard en je legt je daarna voldaan te ruste.

Fles gekocht in Moergestel en gedeeld met Tomhendriksen. Diep donkerbruin bier met beige schuim (heftig schuimend tijdens inschenken). Aroma van koffie, karamel. Smaak van koffie en chocolade en hop. Nasmaak is bitter van koffie en hop.

Fles gedeeld door Inoven, geprobeerd op het Lake Resort van de Beekse Bergen. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een volle beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout, caramel en koffie. De smaak is vol, gebrande mout, chocolade en drop.

Bottle at home, from advent calender. Black with nice brown head. Licorice, spices, soft grapes, plums, brown sugar, light rum. Quite sweet and medium bitter with some weird herbal lingering astringent bitterness in the finish. Solid medium bodied, slightly watery for such astrong beer. It's decent but a bit thin and has a weird finish.

Thanks for sharing! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival 2017. Black, solid mocha head. Nose is plastic, umami, plum, varnish, soap,… Rather fizzy soapy, plastic, chemical, umami, plum & prune, so-so, bit below average.

Pours nearly black troigh brown. Small white head. Smell is bit roasty, taste is medium thick mild roasted grains, tad sharp. Ok. Mild bitterness. High carbo.medium MF .

33cl bottle. Pours dark reddish brown colour with a mid sized good lasting tan head. Aroma of dark malt, spices, balsamico. Taste of balsomico, oregano, dark malt, many spices, interesting!

Bottle at Tuesday Share, Taphouse, Copenhagen - Dark brown pour with off white head. Aroma and taste is sweet malty, some dark dried fruit, brown sugar, thin palate and watery, okish.
