Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 18A, adapted). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L15007/14. AROMA: prominent hop aroma with notes of pine, slight grapefruit and pineapple. slight malty background. APPEARANCE: gold color and hazy. thin white head with below average retention. TASTE: predominant hop flavour with pine notes and faint tropical fruits. very faint malt background. medium-low bitterness with a semi-dry finish and somewhat bitter. PALATE: light body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a more hoppy blonde ale but without malt support.

Rerate: Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB 12 Apr 2017, large sample. Almost clear golden to orange color, short frothy head. Aroma of tropical fruit, bit grassy hop, bit flowery. Bit spicy as well. But fruity sweetness at first, but thankfully some medium grassy bitterness kicks in. Seems to be a bit low on carb for the style. Improved a bit. Original rating: Bottle from Burg Bieren, as Hopfather hoppig blond at 5% ABV, mentioning Mosaic hops. BB 06 Sep 2016, medium sample. Slight hazy golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of bit fruity hop, slight flowery, bit spicy yeast. Soft bitterness, some malt. Bit boring to be honest. 2.9

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Cloudy yellow. Aroma of yeast, nice fruity hops, and a soapy note. Dry flavor with fruity hops, some yeast, and moderate bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 1 - 01/03/14. Light golden with a big old white head that retains well. Nose is light hoppage, tangerine, pinch of spice, toasty malts. Taste comprises more prominent hop notes, soft bread doough, light apricot, mandarina-tangerina, toasty ring. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, grassy bitterness in the close. Ok IPA but not as hop forward as I’d prefer for the style.
