Bottle. Clear amber with an off white head that lasts well. Earthy and spicy aroma with mandarins and lychees lurking a bit behind, some caramel. Smooth and quite sweet with toffee and more brooding tropical fruit notes than suggested by an initial sniff. Earthy, herbal and increasingly peppery. Interesting and complex hop aromatics if this is as it seems a single hop beer, just not sure they quite work with the sweetness. Was thinking it finishes too sweet, but maybe those herbal/ peppery/ almost capsicum-like things would get overbearing were it drier - there’s a chile burn right at the end. Very interesting, but not quite harmonious.
