Oude Geuze Boon is one of the finest examples of the traditional 100% spontaneous fermentation Lambic style. To moderate the sourness, Boon Brewery only brews Lambic in the 7 cold months, from early October until April, according to the traditional "turbid mash" system. This Lambic beer is aged for 1, 2 or 3 years in oak casks. The blend, a mild average 18 months old Lambic (unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised) is refermented in the bottle and can be stored up to 20 years. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Awards at the World Beer Championships: 2008 Gold, 2010 Silver, 2012 Gold Medal.

2021-2022. 375ml Bottle from Auchan Market. 7% alc was. No wiec swiezutkie, nie starzone takie kupione, musujace, malo konskich aromatow, spora piana, wytrawne i zlociste. Fajne do piersi kurczaka super.

Blended 2006 & Bottled in 2007 Geuze Lambic. Bottle 0,25cl from Beer Mania (Delivered in 07.06.2010). Price was 2,90 EUR. Przyznam szczerze ze spodziewalem sie oszalamiajacego i mocnego zapachu konskiej derki, ale jakby wogole jej nie bylo. Po 6-7 latach powinna wydaje mi sie byc bardzo intensywna do tego czas ten chyba sprawil ze bylo zbyt malo kwasne, bardziej bym powiedzial cierpkie i cytrynowe. Nie mniej dosc pijalne to geuze co mnie zdziwilo, to piwo powinno byc trudne w odbiorze a bylo dla mnie bardzo latwe. Sporo osadu zadowolilo mnie.

Nagy, nem túl tartós, sárgás árnyalatú hab, borostyán szín. Savanykás, piszkés, istállós illat. Enyhén savanykás, fanyar, animális, enyhén hordós íz. Közepesen testes, erősen szénsavas, leheletnyit kesernyés. Frissítő, kellemes, de lambic-hoz képest ez most egy kicsit szegényes ízvilágú.

2022 - 2023 250 ml klasicky uzaver. barva zlatava zakalena s plovoucim bordelem. Vune kvasnice, jabka. Chut kysela, konec suchy jako jablecna dren. Neumim popsat. Moc dobry lambic.

A small bottle from the off-licence opposite Jing Mei fire station. Aroma: funky lawn clippings. Appearance: opaque dark honey, big creamy off-white head, dissipating to 2-3mm. Palate: medium-bodied and tart, average carbonation; finishes with a funky afterburn at the back of the mouth. Taste: not especially sour, heavy, dank, good stuff.

Perhaps not the correct listing, will transfer at a later date - possibly 2023-24 batch chalked up at 6.5%. Lambic style very evident, with the outside fermenting doing a fine job here. Almost champagne levels of taste.
