Koff Porter is a top fermented dark, almost black, unfiltered beer, with a malty roasted aroma. Four different malts are used for this brew: Pilsner, Münchener, coloured and brown malt. These make up the beer’s characteristic aromas: roastedness, chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Koff Porter is generously hopped with Saazer and bittering hops.

Deep black coloured body with a nice sized large dense brown head - very nice. Aroma of metal, blood, roasted malt, caramel and nuts. Medium-bodied; Strong roasted malt flavour with nuts and raisin flavour really strong. Caramel and coffee come through as well. Aftertaste shows bitter characteristics with coffee and chocolate too. Overall, a good beer - not my favourite baltic, but definitely good to try! I sampled this super old (like 5 year old) bottle that was stored in my fridge on 29 October 2008.

11.2 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse. This is the Sinebrychoff Porter IV label. Nearly black pour with a one finger head. Roasted malt aroma with coffee and milky notes. Taste is roasted malts with coffee, caramel, milky, nutty and bitter hop notes. Medium body.

On tap @ De Geuzen and De Paas, 2007. Black beer, creamy beige head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, some sweetness. Flavour is sweet at first, coffee, liquorice, chocolate. Slightly metallic. Bitter coffee finish and aftertaste. Thick and oily palate/mouthfeel. Very complex and extremely nice beer.

Bottle. Blackish beer with a nice tan head. Big chocolate, caramel, malt aroma. Caramel malt flavor with light roast/espresso and slight mineral notes. Medium bodied. Lingering mineral, caramel, and light roast.

Pours a deep dark black with a medium tan head. This beer has a malty, somewhat sweet aroma that is populated by chocolate, coffee, vanilla. The flavor is quite similar, with a creamy texture. A quite wonderful beer.

Pours black with a thick brown head. Aromas of burnt malts and chocolate. Flavor is sweet chocolate with smokey burnt malts. Full body with minimal carbonation and a thick,creamy mouthfeel with a bitter finish. Very good, would have again.

Bottle Pours out a blck topped with a nice tan head. A sweet aroma of dark chocolate and roast. Tast of not much dark chocolate but more sweet milk chocolate. Also picked up some molases. A little bitter on the end. A tasty Baltic Porter.

Bottle.Appealing big, frothy tan head atop a black body. The aroma is full with roasted malt, chocolate and caramel with hints of creamed coffee and caramel and a touch of smoke. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The finish is moderately to heavily bitter with a bit of sweetness. Fairly long lasting. Medium body and lively carbonation. The texture is between watery and creamy — a nice balance. Well constructed.

330ml Bottle- Black in colour with a chocolatey brown head reminiscent of a cup of cocoa. Coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Rich taste with plain chocolate and roasted coffee with a pleasing creaminess in the lightly malty finish. Very enjoyable and whilst it is rich and full bodied, it is also smooth and easy to drink.
