Koff Porter is a top fermented dark, almost black, unfiltered beer, with a malty roasted aroma. Four different malts are used for this brew: Pilsner, Münchener, coloured and brown malt. These make up the beer’s characteristic aromas: roastedness, chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Koff Porter is generously hopped with Saazer and bittering hops.

Thx to Jussi for this bottle. Dark, opaque color and a nice brown head. Nose of roasted malts, dark coffee, caramel. Taste follows the nose, also some faint dried fruits. Smooth mouthfeeling, medium body. Dryish finish.

Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical. Supermarket purchase whilst out in Oulu.

Bottle. A- Soy sauce, roasty, mild smoke. A- Black color, black liquid, no head. T- Watery, smoke, anise. P- Medium body, thin texture, flat carbonation, slightly astringent finish. O- Almost tastes like cigarette ash fell into my water cup. I do enjoy the general smoky flavors and aromas present but this was pretty watered down and one dimensional. I don't think my bottle was treated well because this seems like a one off. Very ashy and not that great.
