Relatively crisp, amber and light copper coloured body with a decently large three to four centimetre tall tan head with some larger bubbles above the 10 per cent opaque body. Aroma of light toasted grain, a dash of metal and some astringency from malts with a nice layer of lower alpha acid hops in the scent as well. Light-bodied; Relatively crisp grassy and pretty floral notes show at first with a nice dry stone fruit flavour that has a kick of apricots and pears noticeable, but much more of the grainy and malt flavours that make their way past the dryness, with a very soft sweetness at the end, but pretty easy-drinking. Aftertaste is crisp, dry and floral with more malts than hops, with some very subdued fruit notes and even lighter sweetness, but easy-drinking throughout. Overall, a decent enough beer that shows closest to an Amber Ale, but this has more character and hop bitterness than most in that category. Nice to sample and not a bad option in the Christmas 12 Pack! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia as part of the Christmas 12 Pack Sampler, on 23-December-2022 for US$9,99 with a 'Best By' date of 31-January-2023, but sampled at my house here in Washington, a few blocks away on 14-February-2023.

Can. Pours faintly cloudy copper-red with a large foamy beige head, faint caramel aroma, high carbonation, medium bitter piney caramel malt taste, smooth thin body, long medium bitter finish. Solid brew.

12 beers of Christmas package. A pretty fresh and grassy hop smell from the moment I pulled the tab. Pours an amber beer that's not so much hazy as trying to be opaque, under a big head of foam. Still some light Pacific Northwest hop in the nose once I got it poured. Grassy, as I said, and a bit of grapefruit juice. The taste is fronted by amber malt, giving this the idea of an Oktoberfest beer. Then the hops come in, playing a bit more German character to go with the malt profile.

Pours reddish amber with a frothy white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, orange, some pine and hops. Taste has a nice cereals mix, some pleasant hop oils, toasted barley. Palate has more grainy notes that linger on the nose, some sweetness. Pretty good.

Can, 12 Beers of Christmas mix pack. Poured a clear amber-red color with a small white head. Aroma was orange, some sweet caramel. Nice and bready. I actually really liked this one, tasty bitterness with some herbal and grass.

Smell is a little malty but mostly hoppy. An orange brown colored beer. Nice head. Big hoppy bite. No way is this a Vienna. Do we know how to say IPL? No wonder its rated so high, its in the wrong style category! Yes, borders on IPA territory fer sure. Some co2 just barely makes it taxable. What else can be said? Just a big rude hoppy lager masquerading as Vienna, HAH big nasty surprise to my lager loving taste buds.

Bottle from Bottle Shop at home. Opaque dark amber pour. Thin foamy head. Lager-y juicy hops aroma with a bit of nutty maltiness. Really interesting flavors - great juicy citrus hops (Simcoe?), citrus bitterness, mild nutty finish. Really enjoyable.

Draft - Skunky piney hops. Clear copper with a rich white head. Fruity, pine and grapefruit. Light bitterness and very drinkable. Very nice and sessionable with tons of flavour. I love these guys.
