Bit of a gusher. Pale blond and hazy with lasting lacy head. Quite a yeasty aroma. Tastes very clean and crisp. Lively carbonation. Flavour is a bit yeasty and quite dry in the finish. A good thirst quencher.

Geel bier met veel stevig schuim. Smaak is fris zuur en ietwat droog met iets van citrus en banaan. Licht bitter, even wennen maar toch een goed bier.

New Gaverhopke beer, with thick, frothy, thickly cobweb-lacing, egg-white head captured after strong gushing; hazy ’old gold’ colour with a ’soup’ of yeast floating everywhere, becoming almost opaque with deposit. Estery and yeasty aroma of peach, pineapple, bubblegum, banana, earth, cooked beans, white pepper, fried egg, bitter herbs, toasted bread and some faint burnt rubber. Fruity, rounded onset, pineapple, peach and green apple peel, lightly oily mouthfeel, spicy yeastiness, bready and smooth, with very yeasty and malty finish further adorned with a light resiny, earthy, peppery hop bitterness, a bit vegetable-like as well in the end. Acceptable apart from the gushing but I don’t see the point in this beer, it is just another Belgian blonde like there are countless ones around already.

Bottle shared. Pours hazy golden brown with an off white head. Aroma of citrus, grassy hops, yeast, sweet malt and light biscuit. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Dusty and spicy malty aroma with subtle fruity notes and traces of burnt rubber. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a stale carbonation. Fruit-accented juicy malty taste with notes of citrus and overripe pears; sweet malty and fruity finish with a shy spicy touch. Finally drinkable, but no highlight. 04.III.14

Bouteille 33cl, no BB date.
