Severe Drought, we shared the farmer’s horror as Wisconsin’s cherry crop failed! Dan bought what cherries he could. The Apple crop fared better. Then joy! A grand Wisconsin cranberry harvest. What will Dan brew with Apples, Cranberries and Cherries? Oh my! You hold the happy accident of Wisconsin’s favorite fruit aged in oak with an almost magical wild fermentation. Serendipity is a wondrous celebration that sparkles your senses and dances across your palate. A kaleidoscope of flavor discovered by accident in a sour ale!

Thanks Jessica!
Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to becher glass.
Appearance: dark red in color with a two and a half fingers of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: red apples sweetness cherry sweetness and tartness, cranberry tartness and some clean caramel tones
Flavor: copies the prior noted aromas to semi-sweet to tart blend with the caramel level being a bit lower; finishes more with those noted fruits
Texture: medium bodied, leaning more towards the sipping side as some of the tartness seems to express some assertiveness
Overall: a very nicely done fruit beer that didn't need any special yeast or any other adjuncts - just three fruits then call it a day!

Sample from some fantasy football drafters at the bar. Big big cherry nose. Red Cherry juice color, a little fuzzy foam still there. Both sweet and tart cherry taste at the same time. I'm thinking of a cordial, but it's still light like a regular beer. Somehow getting a Robitussin now at the end, bit it's really nothing like that.

Bottle courtesy of Virby44. Auburn with a frothy head of modest duration. The cherries carry the aroma, very intense, although the apple cider is just underneath. Taste is apple juice sweet with a long, cranberry tartness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Not exactly refreshing, anything so cherry infused verges easily into medicinal for my taste. A touch too sweet. Addictive though.

Bottle thanks to Bill Young! Pours muddy brown/red with a small fizzy offwhite head. Aromas of apples, tart candy, sugar, candied apples, marzipan, strawberry, caramel candy (elefantsnørrer). Taste is green apples, marzipan, candied cherries, tart cherries. Not really feeling these.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Fresh Thyme, Milwaukee. Appearance is clear ruby red with slight orange tint, decent lazy sparkle, ephemeral fizzy cap of beige head and no lacing. Aroma is alternating sweet cherry and tart fruit. Taste is strong dominant sweet cherry over moderately strong tart fruit. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste that makes the sides of my mouth pucker! Overall, nothing beery except the fruit but aromas/flavors are strong and the brewer manages to keep a sweet beer from being too sweet or a tart beer from being too sour by balancing them out. No easy feat. Props.
