Bottle, kindly donated by friend, many thanks. Amber colored beer with medium white head. Fruity, malty aroma. Malty taste with caramel, earthy notes and shy hoppiness.

On tap at The Cricketers, 500 yen for 250ml. I can’t believe I haven’t rated this already, I wonder if this was made in the UK or in Japan under contract... Clear amber brown pour, filmy light beige head. Floral, fruity, caramel & slightly grainy aroma. Medium to light body, sweet caramel candy, almost grape juice like taste with a soft finish. Ok I guess, has that excessive sweetness/sugariness I associate with big commercial UK brews...

25 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from an Express Delhaize. BBF 21/06/2014. Clear textbook amber, bubbles rising & sad off-white head. Nose is metallic, slightly skunky, lots of sweet biscuit, caramel apples, iron, bit past it,… Sweet taste, metallic, bubblegum, lots of biscuit, bread, sugary candy apples, candy sugar, floral / grass, hint booze,… Pretty oily, bubblegum feel to it. Hing carb. Pretty dull much like Bass. Interesting to have a BE take on a UK brew but I just wish that it was with an exiting beer by non-macro breweries.

I think they forgot some ingredients for this one. It’s just a watery pale ale.

En av de första ölen som jag drack, var länge en klassiker vid bardisken. Gott var det.

Bottle, Dranken Geers, at the 500 miles tasting in the Sham, 23/03/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin off white head that clears to a film. Nose is pale malt, light floral notes, grass, cereals, touch of sugar. Taste comprises pale malt, light grass, faint caramel, some hop presence. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Drinkable and inoffensive but ultimately on the boring side.
