Ingredients: Malts: British Pale Ale Malt, Cara Malt, Malted Wheat. Heather, Bogmyrtle (Sweet Gale).

The Brotherhood have been guardians of the ancient Gaelic recipe for "leann fraoich" (heather ale) since 1988 and are proud to be the only brewery still producing this unique style of beer and distributing it world wide. A light amber ale with floral peaty aroma, full malt character, and a spicy herbal finish - This beer allows you to literally pour 4000 years of Scottish history into a glass.

Into the boiling bree of malted barley, sweet gale and flowering heather are added, then after cooling slightly the hot ale is poured into a vat of fresh heather flowers where it infuses for an hour before being fermented.

(Bottle) Pours clear golden with tiny white head. Pleasant subtle aroma with hints of peat. Light body with bright carbonation. Great taste with several pleasant flavours including ginger and peat over a light caramel malt. Very pleasant.

Golden clear just a ring of head. Thick bready malt nose with ginger. Taste full thick hay malt, honey notes, ginger. Honestly, fairly uncomplicated, but solidly good.

Tight foamy white head left a blotchy cover on a clear straw coloured body. Fruity & light malt aroma. Medium bodied, soft & creamy with lively back. Herbal, earthy, spiced, caramel & butterscotch tastes. Interesting

Deep gold with a frothy white head. Fruity aroma, a mix of pears and tangerine, but also light floral notes. Taste is mildly sweet, fruity, with a lightish body and moderate watery texture up front. Decent.

Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical. Hogs Back shop. Better than i had expected.

Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Orange color. Slightly earthy aroma with a hint of orange. Earthy grassy flavor with vennel. Just a bit thin. Hints of orange and honey. Unimpressive.
