Sample @ Haandfest 2019. Unclear dark golden body with a small tan head. Aroma is really smooth with some caramel malt, dry fruit, oak and pleasant acidity. Flavor has a fine combination of sweet and sour with the malt and dry fruit at one side and fruity acidity and mild funky wood at the other side. Very god balance, fine touch of wood and mild smooth kind of cellar notes. My mind goes a bit in direction of Rodenbach Grad Cru but its way less acidic and without the acetone, can’t exactly say to detect any fig either with the exception of dry fruit then. Very Belgium in style but it still has this unmistakable Haandbryggeriet signature.

Hazy deep red brown, small off- white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, chocolate. Taste is acidic like a lambic, a little too much for the style, but zesty, fresh and tasty. Quite a novelty!

Bottle at home. At least one year old. The colour is deep reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma of heather, dates, oak, balsamico vinegar, soy sauce, forest floor and brown sugar. Flavour of oak, vinegar, dates, heather, cherries and brown sugar in the background. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. Really nice and complex aroma with a pretty sour taste. Solid.

375 ml green bottle, batch #114A, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7%. Slightly hazy ruby colour, small off-white head. Aroma of figs, lactic acid, brettanomyces / farmhouse, balsamic vinegar and oak. Very sour flavour with notes of lemons, and otherwise the same elements as in the aroma.
