Cask at the Star and Garter, Bromley. Gold pour with a white head. Aromas of sweet herb, baked apple, obvious heather. Taste of spice, heather, sultanas, currants. Not had tthis for over 20 years when it was new, exciting and a little daring. Run of the mill these days but back then it challenged the tastebuds! Is Umbel Magna still about? 😊

Cask @ Nightjar, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a creamy head. Mildly spicy with occasional hints of fruit. It's quite smooth giving it a lot of palatability.

0.5 l bottle from ’Bier & Beer’, best before May 2018. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, floral, slightly herbal aroma of hay, honey, heather and some caramel. Sweetish, floral and quite herbal-spicy taste of caramel, honey, heather, hay and some ginger, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy and rather herbal-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very interesting, not too herbal, quite enjoyable. Okay!
