(Bottle, Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam, 30 Aug 2015) Straw yellow colour with brief, white head. Malty nose with grain, rice, white bread and hay. Malty taste with notes of rice, grain, hay, canned fruit, boiled cauliflower and no traces of hops. Medium body, with a certain sugar sweetness. A fairly pointless waste of space. Vapid.

Re-rate 2015-12-27: First time drinking in about 5 years but it’s still the same. 330ml bottle. Clear pale yellow piss colour with a medium sized white head, doesn’t last long. Aroma is almost nothing, really weak malty maybe corny notes. Flavour is also the same, really bland, nothing stands out and it’s far too watery yet quite heavily carbonated. Worsens as it warms up too. Honestly it’s not "bad" tasting, it’s just so bland you can barely tell it’s a lager. Just a really disappointing and boring drink. Giving same score as original rate.
Original rating (old, 2007ish): "The King of Beers" is quite a statement to live up to. Spoilers: it doesn’t. There just isn’t much to say about this. Really is just a bog standard lager, lacking any complexity, almost watery in fact. Drank this out the bottle so I can’t comment on appearance. Cheap, perhaps refreshing if there’s nothing else available. Described in one word: bland.

Bottle from Seoul Plaza. Sweetish corny aroma, DMS. Clear pale yellow colour, white head, quickly disappearing. Taste sweetish, syrupy, with a hint of DMS, but otherwise pretty clean, even kind of enjoyable. Thin watery body and overall impression as well, nothing special, but also not bad. Average.

Botella 33 cl en varias ocasiones, tal vez más de las que debiera. (r3884) lote 12A4 hasta 25-07-2003. Sin mucho que decir salvo lo refrescante que pueda ser y en caso de no haber ninguna opción mas. 5 vol que se bebe con facilidad. De lo más corriente y comercial del mundo.
