12.07.26 Aromat wiśniowo winny, ocet, i stajnia. {Piana beżowa, zamglone, kolor herbaty z odcieniem czerwonym. Smak owocowy, i trochę winny, brak chmielu, kwaśne dość i w tle trochę słodyczy. Nagazowanie spore, finisz słodki, nie jest ściągające. Ogólnie piwo w stylu, do spożycia dobre w chłodne dni, dobrze gasi pragnienie.

Bottle at home, huge thanks to Eszter for this. Pours dark ruby with beige head. Nose is tart fruits, basement aromas, alogether very much like a red wine. In taste it’s tart fruity, grapes mainly, acidic and a bit sour. Closes with long lasting fruity tartness, has light to medium body and average carbo. This is a good beer for sure, but not really my cup of tea.

dark red pour with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma of red wine, balsamic vinegar, and lots of grapes. Flavouris very sour, wow!
Big notes of balsamic vinegar, and grapes, with a touch of sour fruit. Big sour finish, very vinegary. A wicked beer, in the upper echelon of the style.

Complex aroma of tart cherry, wine, sour apples, wild yeast, some oak. Flavour has a little sweetness, quite sour, vinegar. Very well-balanced. I liked this one much better than the ’regular’ Rodenbach. Very, very good.

330ml bottle. Pours a reddish brown color with a minimal off-white head that soon fizzes to a fine ring. The aroma is strong with sour fruits such as cherries and raspberries. The taste is mildly tart with sour cherries and sour grapes. The palate is light with acidity noticeable and fizzy carbonation. Finishes long and sour with lingering breads and sour fruits. Overall: Decent--one of my favorite sours. Paired well with some gruyere cheese.

Draught @ Brouwerij Rodenbach. Pours a deep dark reddish brown, large off-white head. Aroma brings to mind red wine, redcurrants, fruitcake. Flavour profile continues in a similar profile, very nicely balanced, moderate acidity, soft textures in the palate, gentle tangy red berries fruits, soft fruity linger. Great to try 'fresh' at the brewery.

330ml bottle. Dark red with a small beige head, nice retention; looks the part. Red wine, berries, caramel and vinegar on the nose; inviting. Taste is sour, redcurrants, blackberries, vinegar, woody notes, quite acidic mid to late palate. Moderate body and carbonation, lightly sticky. I actually slightly prefer the standard Rodenbach which is seen as a more basic interpretation of the style. The Grand Cru has more complexity but the acidity level in I find a bit much but maybe I'm still getting used to the style. Good beer still.
