Yeasty version of a Speciale Belge. Caramelised malt, sweet metallic taste, with some mild fruits. Mwoah.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. BBF 16/07/2015. Hazy dark orange, solid white head. Nose is thick BE yeast, darker honey, caramel, sugar, thick malty with herbs, decent start. Tastes of sweet mellow honey, nuts, touch herbal, brown sugar, herbs, warming, touch boozy, doesn’t come entirely together but definitely nicer than the score would indicate on RB. Not on par with my introduction to the brewery “Alpaïde”.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Gent, consumed at home on Wednesday 12th February 2014. Pours hazy dark gold with slim white head. Clean slightly spritzy nose with a little spice, a little bland is my first impression. It’s fine, a tiny bit thin and lacking maybe, but absolutely fine. Sweetish typically Belgian in many respects but very safe. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

25/X/2012 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ home - BB: 14/VI/13 (2012-1175)
Clear orange to amber beer, big fluffy irregular head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit fruity, lots of oranges, bit sweet, some citrus, little soapy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: orange peel, lots of it! Little bit of caramel, fudge, but not really sweet, buttered whole grain toast, some citrus. Aftertaste: citric hops, some caramel, orange peel, little bitter. Ok, but not as good as the other beers from this brewery I had before.

Bottle from Beer Planet, Bruxelles
Hazy dark amber to mahogany color; creamy head. Strange aroma, sweet, with vegetables and liquorice, candies. Sweetish caramel, with strange flavor of candies and maybe vegetables, carrots; medium to low bitterness.
Very weird, rather unpleasant.

33cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy dark orange to light, faint red color, small off-white to beige head that disminishes almost instantly. Smell is off: old malts, herbal, slightly medicinal. Taste old malts, old bread, yeasty, light to moderately sweet. Low to medium body, medium carbonation.

Bottle thx to benzai. Slightly hazy orange, golden colour with a small white head. Smells herbs, green twigs and malts. Mostly herbs i dont like. Tastes malty, fresh, some iron.. Not bad! Quite decent taste, nothing very special or complex. Good carbo, thin to medium body.
