Bottle. Almost black. Bretty aroma, overpowering the usual roasty aromas. Full bodied. Strong lemony flavor with hints of licorice. Yoghurt. Hints of smoke. Complex. Sour. Absolutely sensational beer.

28/7/2018. Bottle shared at Højbjerg tasting. My #100 Durham County beer. Courtesy of Danlo. Pours very dark brown with minimal head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, moderate chilli, liquorice, berries and the slightest hint of marmite. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness, touch of sour. Full body, slick texture, soft to flat carbonation.

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. No head. Color is close to black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, lactose acid, caramel and has sour finish. Sour stouts is definately not a good thing. It destroys two excellent beers that should have been drunk separately.

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting 28 July. Pours cloudy very dark brown with small light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, with notes of fruit and touches of barrel. Dry, vinous flavour with roasty notes and touches of yeast and malt. Hints of hops. Vinous aftertaste with roasty hints. Warming alcohol presence. Well, not bad!

Bottle. Dram Shop, Sheffield. Picked up donks ago. Opened silently. Nearly black. No head. Nose has high cocoa chocolate. Sour cherry. Lambic soaked oak. Earthy and mineraly. Taste is sour and cherry stone sweet. Some salinity. Soft smoke. Taste has a sour twang. Some salt. Some oxidised sweetness. Smooth mouthfeel. Very low carbonation. Big, oaky, sour twang to finish. Bonkers, and certainly interesting, but pretty hard to wholeheartedly enjoy.
