A brewers' favourite, our year-round stout is matured for a minimum of four weeks for a full body and smooth finish. Aromas of dark, roasted malt and subtle liquorice lead into indulgent rounded flavours with a touch of red fruit before a long, lightly bitter finish.

Bottle, thanks Tim. Nice fruity, roasty aroma. Taste is good, malty, roast, bit of soy sauce. Lots of flavour for percentage.

Swing top bottle @ tasting. Dark brown color. Blackcurrant, raisin and just a hint of roast in both aroma and flavor. Laurel, thinnish. OK

Frothy light tan head left a creamy cover on a well carbonated very dark brown body. Liquorice, demerara, dark spirits (whisky?) & malt aroma. Medium bodied, soft & airy over the tongue with clean finish leaving a tingle on the palate. Dark chocolate, malt, brown sugar, lactose, dark berry & grape tastes with citrus tangy finish. Way too thin & low ABV to be an Imperial Stout but I guessed that before I bought it. Trading Standards issue here! Great Stout but definitely not Imperial

16 oz cask draft. Pitch black pour with a creamy nitro-like head with very good retention and excellent lacing. The taste is very Guinness-like. Very good. Served a little warmer than I prefer. Smooth. 6.8 ABV is well hidden but warming.

Third of a cask pint at the Scottish Real Ale Festival in Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange on 7th July 2017. Lovely beer, almost black in colour, ruby tinge; good solid head. Roasted malts rule the nose, the taste also malt centric has a mild liquorice feel along side a good sweetness and bitterness from the malts.
