Bill Brewer is a low-alcohol version Sussex Old Ale (1%), retaining the essential character of this brew. As with John Hop, the beer is produced identically to the parent product and the alcohol is only removed prior to bottling. A low alcohol Brown Ale with a full malty palate and slightly burnt aftertaste.

Sampled from bottle @ Deanso. Almost clear ruby red color, no head. Smell and taste malts, weirdness and shoes. Some fruits and wort as well. More flavor than I expected from a 1% ABV beer. Low body, thin texture, low carbonation.

bottle shared @ABCBeers Ratebeer tasting. Thin white head. Clear burgundy pour. Malty taste. Pretty nice for a 1% beer.
