On tap at La Fine Mousse, Paris on 27th November 2016. Hazy copper with off-white shallow lacing foam. Intensely spicy, malty aroma. Bitter hops and nutty malts in-mouth. A slightly metallic touch. Zesty citrus peel, bitter orange, through the finish. Zingy mouthfeel and full body.

Bottle in the garden, 13th August 16. Pours a dark Amber, aroma is sweet, malty. Taste is sweet, caramel, some fruit, more sweet, slight bitter. Not bad, but not my idea of a dipa

A hazed golden amber DIPA with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light doughy character, floral hops, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, doughy caramel malt with light floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light mineral notes, nice and smooth. On tap at La Fine Mousse.

Bottle. Light hazy Amber with very small off white head leaving some big bubbles. Peach, pear, apricot, light citrus. Sweet malts with some brown sugar and cake. Quite sweet and fruity with a light bitter hoppy finish. Medium bodied, with light feel and doesn’t feel like the ABV at all. Hmm, really fruity and sweet but not cloying at all, still stays fresh and drinkable. Not bad, doesn’t have much to do with an ipa but good beer nonetheless.

Pours a quite hazy dark amber color, topped with a fine frothy tan colored head. Initially nice mild caramel aroma, later on some pleasant hoppy notes. Starts sweet, with a minimal caramel taste, followed by a very decent bitter hoppy kick. Not bad at all.

Bottle, 0.33l. Murky deep brown color with large frothy tan-like head, fair lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, dark fruits, cherries, mango, resin and caramel. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel malt, follows by fruity acidity with spicy and alcoholic mouthfeel and moderate bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Starts relatively ok, but it mellows so much that I’m thinking I’m IBU proof :)

bottle from Village de la Bière Strasbourg. Amber colour, off-white head and a lovely hoppy nose. Full-bodied, solid malty base with the right richness to support all the aromatic and bitter hops. Hints of citrus fruit and tropical fruit, also some gooseberry. Good one!

On tap at La Fine Mousse, pours a hazy ruby red / amber with a medium beige head. Nose is very fruity, bringing out resinous hops, syrupy caramel malts, and some stone fruits. Flavour is very similar, on the maltier side for a double IPA, bringing out syrupy caramel malt, resinous hops, dried dark fruits, and some alcohol. Residual sugar content is fairly high and the malt base is too syrupy and prominent. Decent, but haphazard double IPA.
