Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Ale Asylum in Madison, WI. Appearance is a murky dark brown with thin tan head. Aroma is very rich, huge chocolate notes, touch of nutmeg perhaps. Taste is somewhat like butterfinger, chocolate, hazelnut, peanut, very very good. This was hands down the best of the sampler.

Draft at Haze. Deep black, maybe a hint of brown. Respectable beige head. Roasty chocolate aroma. Thicker side of medium bodied. A well done Porter, with some pleasant chocolate notes. Faint covered up hops, barely a trace. Sweet, roasty chocolate milk finish. Middle of the road, but well executed.

One of a slew of Ale Asylum brews courtesy of sebletitje. Pours mahogany with thin tan head. The aroma is roasty, sweet milk chocolate, sugary sweetness, some pine hops, chocolate brownie and a dollop of coconut. The taste is a touch bitter to start with dark chocolate, chocolate brownie, a dash of pine hops and dark roasted malts. Nice and rich in flavor for the style. Yum.

dark brown, light tan head. aroma of chocolate malts, molasses, some hops and light roast. flavors, chocolate malts, roasted, light mouthfeel with hints of caramel and molasses, very similar to the aroma, the hop presence is very thin as is the overall profile.Good session beer.
