Complex aromas of oak, honeyed malt sweetness, and piney citrus hops, leads to a full hoppy middle and a finish that’s crisp, oaky and pleasantly lingering. Why, oh why did we resist the subtle allure of IPA so long?

Golden amber clear color, small white head. Light fruity nose, peachy. Medium-bodied. Grapefruity, hoppy flavor. Lingering grapefruit in the aftertaste. Well-brewed, "American standard", fruity IPA.

bottle - Pours hazy orange with a fruity aroma. The flavor is of sweet malt and medium to strong bittering hops with good citrus notes. There’s lingering bitterness and maybe a little oak though it’s quite subtle.

A golden IPA with a thin big bubbled off white head. In aroma, big caramel malt with restrained c-hops, light mint, very nice. In mouth, a nice oily mouthfeel, sweet barley candy sugar and bitting c-hops, oily and smooth. Cask at Get Real NY, March 19th 2011.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange-gold color with a medium white head that evaporates slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops and oak. Medium body with flavors of hops, pine, oak and malt. The finish is dry, hoppy and oaky with a lingering bitterness. Above average overall.

Big thick pine cone tar aroma. No head, from a bottle. In glass aroma tapers off a tad. Dirty pale yellow appearance. Thick rude flavor on the palate, on style. Overcomes the senses with it rude bitter hops. Rototill across my taste buds and then plant green grapefruit rinds as seeds, yes on style. Probably could pass as a IIPA. Some barely detectable creamy CO2 but nothing worth mentioning considering the plowing bitter taste is overwhelming my poor lager senses, wew. Long bitter terrible linger that leaves me wondering why I keep trying this terrible style.

Gold and a little cloudy. I do not pick up the oak, but this is one of the most citrus-intense IPAs I have ever had. Effervescent, with a good size head. Lightly sweet finish with tons of citrus flavor.

BA trade extra. amber color, white head aroma, oak, light piny hops, some spices and citrus. flavor, nice oak and wood palate followed by a mild bitterness of hops and silky caramel malts. Quickly after the initial malts flavors, some touch of honey can be noted, the oak foudre is perfect adding a finish that is well balanced.

Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Poured a clear gold with a white head head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was quite malty with a strong sweet grain note with some oak and just some underlying pine hops. Flavor was very similar with strong sweet grains and a bit of pine hops and oak coming out in the finish.

Lemon zest aroma. Cloudy orange, medium head. Whole orange flavor, ending with more of the peel. Fairly mundane with nothing distinctive.

12oz bottle at the DC Local tasting. Pours a totally translucent, yellow copper with a spitty white head. Light, citrus, pine aroma. Flavor is decent for an IPA, caramel sweetness, lemons, light grapes, light lime rind. Finish is medium bodied with some bitterness.
