Notes from August 2009 Complex brew with intense fruitiness. Aged in oak for five months. I read on blogaboutbeer.com that this beer is brewed with brett. Maybe it's just not really noticeable yet, like a fresh batch of Orval. Anyway, generous keg-kicking last pour into my Duvel glass. Lots of CO2-induced white-wash foam(as expected), but it settles into a very respectable 3/5ths of it's original size. Body is a slightly chill-hazed yellow amber. Smell is basic grain, with lots of pepper, sharp florals, & leafy greens. Lightly toasted dry malt, but the taste carries more resins & rindy notes then anything else. Not intense, but still pretty green & zesty, with bitter orange & nice dry leafy notes. Sweetness is mild & supporting. No real Belgian/Trappist esters that I can notice. Alcohol fumes with substance, & the body is overall pretty damn dry(which works for me). A very tight beer. I wouldn't mind seeing this replace their regular IPA. As long as they don't ship it out of to the Lion & let them piss in it.

IPA with Brett. Cloudy amber beer. A lively and hard to control thick white head. Mild barnyard nose. Light crisp and semi dry palate. A quality Belgian beer! Fresh hop dominated by fruity tangy yeast. Finishes soft, dry and with a slightly bitter aftertaste. The hop is dry tangy orange and grapefruit. Fresh wild IPA - nice!

Bottle at RBSG. Pours orange. White head. Nose/taste of yeast, lemon, citrus, bread and grapefruit. Some brett in taste I didn’t pick up in the nose originally. Medium body.

Muffiger und spülartiger Antrunk, der vollkommen auf die Hefigkeit ausgelegt ist. Im Verlauf leider nicht besser, der Hopfen ist trocken und nur wenig aromatisch, das Bier trocken und unattraktiv. Wenig alkoholisch. Das Bier ist sein Geld nicht wert! 7/7/6/6/11/6

sampled at the RBSG 2010 - Pours golden with a huge off-white head. The aroma is primarily of yeast and citrus. It has a moderately bitter flavor with good citrus notes. This brew is very lively on the palate with a somewhat dry finish. To me the wild yeast is subdued. It’s good but I found it a bit on the thin side. It could be amped up some.

Bottle shared by someone at the post EBF tasting, thanks! Poured a hazy pale gold with a white head that lasted throughout the beer and laced slightly. Aroma had notes of tropical fruit, grapefruit and pine with a bit of a grain backing. Flavor started with pine and transitions to citrus and tropical citrus with a grain backbone throughout.

750 ml bottle shared by beastiefan2k at my request! Pour is a hazed golden yellow with a white head. Bit of a gusher, opened it up all over myself. Taste is lemon citrus, along with floral, herbal, wheat malt, and a very dry and brett finish. There is a whole lot going on this beer, but it is all nicely bright and integrated. Tasty beer. Palate is medium bodied, natural carbonation, and the dry herbal mineral finish. Nice one, thanks a bunch for sharing this one Eugene.
