Dick’s Cream Stout is black and incredibly creamy with flavors of coffee and dark chocolate.
A large portion of highly roasted black unmalted barley gives this beer its opaque black color and deep flavors. Additionally, a generous percentage of unmalted flaked barley gives this beer its unmatched creaminess. We add just enough hops for complexity.

12 oz bottle from Enniskillen; nose of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and light yeastiness; very dark brown with a big, cinnamon-tinged tan head; flavor of lots of chocolate and very light hop bitterness; finish lightly bitter.

Pours deep and dark with impressive mocha head and some sheet lacing. Wow, the aroma begins full and inviting with lots of burnt malts, mild caramel, mild chocolate and coffee. It smells really good. The taste begins a bit thin with a tad bit of malt astringency before the burnt malts move in. By midway a mild sweetness wells up along with a hint of coffee. It ends a bit thin but with a nice burnt to roasty malt send off. Very nice.

Bottle: Dark black pour with a large, frothy tan head. No lacing to speak of. Aroma of coffee and roasted malt, maybe even some burnt malt. Taste is coffee and toasted malt, baker’s chocolate, and smokiness. Hints of bitters. Not bad, at bargain at $1.35 for a 12oz bottle.

Bottle Pours a deep black with a decent fluffy tan head. Settleling rather quickly but leaving nice fine lacing. Faint dark roast malt, purple grapes and prunes are here but they don’t jump out at you. Taste is a nice mellow malty smokey flavor. Some coffee and charcoal too. Subtle is the word here. Maybe even plain for a stout. Feel is a medium body and a smooth finish. Carbonation is a bit soft but I think apropriate for the style.
