Tap at mad mex. Hay pale. Slight off hoppy nose. Really bitter commencement. Up front the taste buds are murderized. Yes, a mouth coating rude ass IPA experience that enters the realm of double IPA. Bitter, bitter, bitter bastard. Viscous finish.

Citrus and rind. Great potent hop aroma. Clear golden pour with good head and lacing. Tangerine and grapefruit. Wonderful profile. Some booze. Can from Total Wine--I can only imagine what this is like a little fresher. Can.

Big bottle from Albertsons in Dana Point. Clear-ish copper gold pour with big dank hoppy boozy aroma, and assertive malt too. Nice. Taste follows. Sharp bitter bite up front but mellowed by big bready malt and juicy sweetness. Good amount of carbonation and a lasting alcohol warmth and bitter finish. Very nice.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours a gold tilted towards orange with a white head. Aroma of tropical fruit - mango? And maybe mild citrus. Med body. Flavor is earthy/fruity. Grassy? Pretty dry. Quite hoppy, but not harsh and biting. Nice stuff.

Bottle thanks to Rob. Pours a cloudy orange gold with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is tropical fruit, dank, pine, resin. Medium body, grapefruit, pine, lingering resin finish, very nice.

[2/15/15] Draught at City Beer in San Francisco. Clear golden. Lovely hoppy aroma, “green”, piney and fruity. Flavor has some chewy malt, lots of “green” and piney hops, strong bitterness and a boozy note. Medium-bodied.

On tap at APEX, drank next to Keene Idea. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. Smooth citrus nose, bread. The Marris Otter provides some backbone, but very smooth hop dominated flavors, citrus, lemons, light grass, more oranges. Very smooth comes across as balanced but isn’t Awesome.

Tap @ Avery, doing the 10th Annual Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, sweet fruit, big hops., grapefruit, pine, resin. Taste is malty, caramel, sweet fruity, grapefrruit, pine, resin. Medium body, soft carbonation, bitter finish. 090312

Boulder Strong Ale Fest. Clear, dark golden appearance with an off white head. Pretty potent piney, somewhat grapefruit citrusy hoppy aroma. Rich, tangy orange/grapefruity, a bit piney hoppy, sweet citrusy flavor. Very nice!
