Classic English-style amber ale with a full, malty body and a robust hop flourish. Its rich copper color comes from British Crystal and Chocolate malts. The round maltiness is perfectly balanced with a spicy blend of Williamette, Hallertauer, Tettnang, and Cascade hops.

Pours clear copper with a well formed head of off-white. Malt dominates the aroma, but leaves a bit of hop coming through. Subdued sweet malt flavor with a pleasing dryness that makes up the finish. Decent.

Clear amber color with a thin white head. Aroma of strong caramel and some light molassas. Sweet caramel flavor, but not much else.

$1.49 for a 12-oz single. Pretty amber color, but no head. Very light maltiness in the nose... not much of an aroma at all. Tasty... malty & nutty, with a hint of light chocolatiness. A bit on the sweet side.

Amber red colour (hence the name!), medium strong smell...sweet, sour and a bit pungent!

This is like a watered-down version of their winter ale. The winter ale is good, but watered-down it"s just plain bad.

*sigh* This had all the ingredients to be a great british style amber as the description claims, and the aroma made me optimistic. Great malty aroma with a hint of hops. However, the unusual combination of hops (Willamette, Hallertauer, Tettnang, Cascade) didn't quite do it for me. Aside from all that, this had alot of diacetyl - and was too buttery to enjoy. Drank only 1/2 the bottle.
