A hoppy, American-style pale ale made with Yakima Valley’s best hops. Bittered with Chinook, while dry-hopped with the snappy flavor and bite of Cascade hops. For hopheads only!

On tap at the pinellas location. Fruity aroma and I like it. Slightly darker than yer ubiquitous pale yellow american beer. Below average carbonation on the palate. Fairly bitter hops, borders on IPA status. Long lingering soapy bitter medicinal finish, more oppressive than most APA, IMHO more like IPA. Aroma is no indicator of the hoppiness in this beer.

Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Light citrus/caramel aroma. LIght piney hop flavor with grapfruit. Slightly lighter bodied. Lingering cascades. Not bad - hoppier than I expected.

Sample at the Columbus location. Clear golden-orange color with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates pretty fast. Thin rings of lacing. Citrusy hops aroma. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with hops, citrus and some sweet malt flavor. The finish is short and somewhat hoppy, and has a lingering sweet malt aftertaste. Average overall.

Light hop aroma. Orange gold color with a bit of white head. Impressive flavor of floral and fruit hop, followed by some malt, with light bitter into the finish. Best of a bunch today. Worth drinking.

Pale gold with thick head. Very hoppy aroma. Malty and hops flavour with hoppy finish. Tastes like Walking Man Homo Erectus with much less alcohol.

2009-10-13, draught at BJ Desert Ridge, AZ, 7-4-7-4-15=37
Hazy golden color; creamy head. There is a quite nice, but not too strong, fruity hop aroma (sweet oranges). Too much carbonation; good caramel flavor; the mouthfeel is quite dry, even if there is a medium body strength; the medium-strong hopping gives also some resins and fruit (bitter oranges) to this beer. Strong final. Pleasant.

Hazy light amber color; thin head. The aroma shows some Cascade fruitness (abricots). Good body, malt, a lot of caramel, powerful hopping (they say Chinook and Cascade), of course with a powerful final (that still bears a lot of caramel). Very good.

On Tap at BJ’s La Mesa. Light copper color with lasting white head and good lacing. Solid grapefruit hop aroma. Nice grapefruit and slightly piney hop bitterness flavor. Not much malt noticeable to mix things up. Pretty good Pale.

Cask @ brewpub San Jose. Clear dark amber body with a moderate white head. Lovely fruity hoppy aroma. Flavor is sweet malty, some caramel and varying hop aromas. Slightly roasted. The long aftertaste is dominated by cascade hop. A really pleasant ale, not far from the famous Pale Ale from Nøgne Ø in Grimstad.

Draft. Light copper/orange with small, but dense head. Appealing aroma of hops — citrus, grapefruit, orange peel. The flavor starts slightly sweet but gives way to a moderately bitter finish. Watery body with lots of carbonation.
