Slightly hazy deep brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma of dark malt with some caramel hints. Slightly spicy flavor, nutty, some mild hops, with a caramel end.

On tap @ brewery. Dark brown color with tan head. Nice looking beer. Not much aroma. I sense a bit of malt sweetness. Nice caramel flavor balanced by some bittering hops. There is also a bready yeast flavor that adds a bit of complexity to a beer that really needs it. I also get a little grainy or nuttiness near the finish. I should have let the beer warm some to bring out more of the flavors and aroma. They serve it too cold.

(On tap) Very dark brown - almost close to black - with an orangey hue. Small, off-white head. Malty, roasted nose. Medium body with lots of roasted malt and a lightly burned edge. Bitter finish. 040406

Dark hazy brown with a thin collapsable moka head. Light carmale aroma, slightly off. In mouth, same problem as others, a rather sour beer with light peaty notes, this one hast passed the test of time.

Matta sent this fine brew! Thanks!!! This raised a small head despite a vigorous pour, but otherwise had a nice deep brown color. The aroma was light caramel, chocolate, and nutty, toasted malt. Softly carbonated, it has a medium body and a creamy mouthfeel. The flavor is light chocolate, balanced by a slight hop bitterness and a touch of smokyness in the finish that rememinded me of their Highland Games.

Fantastic dark brown colour with red highlights when put up to a light. Nice tan head which lasts and lasts atop the beer. The aroma is simply amazing. Smell one side of the glass you get a great maltyness, and wait a few seconds and smell the other side, pure hops. Most likely the best smelling Brown i've ever had. The mouthful is definately light bodied and a little watery, but the hops show through more than the malt. Some subtle nuttiness lingers in the palate afterwards, but its fairly bland. Overall, the beer looks and smells great, but is a bit disapointing on the taste and palate. All said, a good beer worth trying if you can find it in person, or acquire it through a trade! I got my sixteen ounce pint bottle from Mabdoney in a beer trade, Thanks!
