Hop Harvest Edition was brewed in September of 2008 using 200 lbs of fresh Treasure Valley Chinook hop flowers from the John Wilmunster hop farm in Greenleaf, ID. A huge, fresh grapefruit profile complements the malty sweetness of this 9%, 100+ IBU fresh hop beer. Leafer Madness Imperial Pale Ale - 2008 Hop Harvest Edition has a green bottle cap and is hand stamped with "2008 Hop Harvest Edition" on the right side of the label.

Picture sent in to be uploaded. Pours with a large, creamy off-white head that stays for a while. Cloudy orange body. Sheets of lace, no rings per sip, just a continuous curtain from the level of the first pour. Aroma is of dank and juicy hops, caramel and a bit of doughy bread. Taste is very bitter with a slight hint of alcohol, a bit of exotic fruit as well. Long duration, with a clean aftertaste and no real lingering bitterness. A touch of caramel too. Somewhat syrupy mouthfeel and warming. Moderate levels of carbonation.

Bottle: Cloudy orange pour with a large, creamy beige head. Nice lacing. Sweet, citrus, and hoppy aroma. Tastes well hopped with citrus and florals. Feels wet and finished with a good lingering bitter tail. Just like the black flag, the fresh hop version is improved.

Bottle poures a slightly hazy light amber. Full sandy colored head. Big sharp soapy aroma. Fresh grassy hop flavor. Soapy and bitter. Not quite.

22oz Bottle Pours out a hazy copper topped with a tall sand cream head. Aroma of fresh citrus hops all over this one. Tast more of the great hops. Pleanty of sweet caramel and rich malts. This double was Great.
