Mirrwinter is ons winterbier. Mirrwinter is Twents voor kerst, vandaar de toepasselijke kerstster. Zoals gebruikelijk bij ons geldt een bier waarop de bomen van de mageler es staan als een signaal voor een bier dat afwijkt van de standaardbieren.
Mirrwinter is een warm donkerrood bier om te drinken voor de open haard. Dit bier is volzoet en, maar we zijn de hop zeker niet vergeten! Een bijzonder bier met waar zoet en bitter vechten om een plaats Jenerverbessen bij het eind van het brouwproces maken het geheel af.

Bottle @ PRZH Winterbier fest. Brown color. Lasting off-white to beige head. Aroma’s: sweet, red fruit/raisins, caramel/toffee. Flavor is medium sweet with some bitterness. Medium bodied. Finishes somewhat roasted, medium bitter.

Bottle sampled at Gouda Winterbier festival. Pours hazy brown with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, fruit, prunes and orange. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle 330ml.[ Trade by Benzai ]. Clear medium to dark brown amber colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, caramel, dark malt - fruit, licorice, spicy notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120623]

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich fruits, caramel, malt, nuts and hops. Full bodied.

Bottle. Looking quite nice in the glass, with it’s clear, amber body and dense, finger-thick light beige head. Lots of dried fruits on the nose, with sugar, orange, and a little cellarish touch. Sweet flavor with dried fruits, some cellar, spice hints, orange peel bitterness and a hint of caramel. Full-bodied, pleasantly carbonated and semi-dry. Long, sweet finish with dried fruits. Think I could’ve had this one again some times. 120623

Courtesy of bierkoning, thanks Edo! Dark ruby color, huge beige head. Aroma of berries, light hops and caramel (Wyest scotch ale yeast?). Medium to full bodied. Caramel, berries, some alcohol and bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Yes, I would say that this is a Scotch ale. Decent winter warmer.
