Ale Brewed with Lemon Peel and Infused with Espresso
Giddy Up is a delicious juxtaposition of coffee, sustainably grown in Brazil and espresso-roasted locally, pressed into an ale with the deep color of a copper cowboy kettle. First whiff is full of sweet caramel, toffee, latte. Then, a hint of lemon scone flavor from the addition of lemon peel. Body is creamy, resonant of espresso, yet the finish is bright, even a bit frisky. An ale to git along with...

From Sept 2008
I had this at the 12th annual Parkway River Fall Festival, on tap.
It poured a hazy reddish brown with a small head of foam.
The smell was of coffee and some fruitiness. A little light on the nose but good.
The taste overwhelmed me with the coffee. Seriously, with the first few sips, I could taste nothing else. As it warmed up a bit, I did get some earthy and fruity tones but the coffee dominated everything at every stage.
Medium bodied and medium carbonated, it finished with a bitter coffee flavour that left a short aftertaste. By the time my glass was empty, I knew that a "refill" was not in order. 1 was enough. Someone else here said it reminded him of iced coffee and I totally concur.
Bottom line: If you're a fan of coffee, this one should please you as it doesn't get more coffee-like than this. For me, it was kind of over the top with coffee and I didn't find it all that drinkable. YMMV.

Bottle drunk Winter 2013
Sort of a beige, lime-golden thing, with deeper copper tints and a wispy, off-white head showing poor retention.
Crushed coffee beans and light acidity, I suppose you might call it lemony, with sparse, biscuity malts, soda water and lighter vanilla notes....
Coffee in the mouth, stale, dry and turning lightly lactic/sour in the presence of the lemony acidity. Just a pinch of sweetness from the malt, certainly not enough to build a decent body or balance. Fizzy carbonation. Pretty bad stuff, unsurprisingly.

Bottle. Sweet nutty coffee, and light buttery caramel aroma. Clear chestnut with a small beige head. Flavor pretty much the same as the nose - sweet nutty coffee and buttery caramel. Light body, soft carbonation.

12oz bottle. Amber-brown, filtered, garnet body. Steady off-white head. A lemon coffee beer, huh. The medium body is decent enough, but the in yoru face artificial flavors are kind of off putting. Tastes like a pretty good, easy going coffee beer that got spiked by a little lemon flavoring...which of course heavily detracts. Someone should really ban NG from the flavor additives for awhile...this is another beer unfortunately tweaked, but not into oblivion..still enjoyable...grew on me a lot.

Location: 12 oz bottle from a Spec's, 9/24/13
Aroma: The aroma is a mix of coffee and toffee malts with some lemon zest
Appearance: It pours a reddish-brown color with a tan-brown head and average lace
Flavor: Flavor-wise, the mix is the same, it is malty, with some coffee, and lemon too
Palate: The body is light-medium, not watery at all, and it has a decent overall feel
Overall Impression: This one delivers what is describes in the description. It doesn't sound like it would work well at all, but it kind of does. Odd and interesting. Worth trying too, just not necessarily 100% my cup of tea...

12 oz bottle from the Folly Pack, thanks brenn79. Aroma is doughy, coffee, bread, chocolate. Pours clear mahogany with a medium off-white head with good retention. Taste is sweet with a hint of tartness, finishing lightly bitter. Flavors of coffee, vanilla. Mouthfeel is creamy, body fairly thin. I remember rating this with a Facebook app back when it first came out in 2008 before I joined Ratebeer. Good brew, I’m glad they brought it back.

12 ounce bottle from a Kroger, Folly Pack. Pours a deep copper color, clear, with a thin frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of coffee, toffee and mild earthy hops. The taste is coffee, dark fruits, mild caramel. very mild hops in the finish. Thin-medium bodied. Interesting.

Pours a clear dark ruby - moderate lace - nose of earthy, caramelized sugars, vanilla, oily coffee bean, lightly tangy lemon - flavor is medium sweet toffee up front, followed by moderate coffee bean, earthiness/mushroom, a touch of smoke - lemon peal is hardly noticeable - finish of toasty malt and light coffee - a strange combo - not bad, but it doesn’t all work as well together as it could.

Pours deep, dark copper-brown with a thick, off-white/tan head. Light coffee and cream aroma. Flavour is lightly esspressoed, creamy, malty. Slight lemony hint towards finish...a little throat sting. Like a very light porter....very tasty, though.... liked this one a lot.
