Bottle from John’s Marketplace in Portland, OR. Gold color with a fizzy, vanishing white head. Smells kind of bready. Near medium body with fizzy carbonation. Strange, slightly sweet flavor, reminds of corn on the cob, but there’s a fair amount of bitter. It finishes nicely bitter. Kind of crisp. Not a drain pour.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy pale golden color with a medium sized soapy white head. The aroma was sour, tangy and had a crisp floral hop note. The flavor was dry with crisp floral hops a light touch of maltiness and a slightly tangy finish.

Bottle. Poured pale gold with think white head. Much lacing Faint grass and malt aroma. Very little flavour, a little malt, not much hop, a lot of water. Almost no finish. This is too weak in alcohol, flavour and aroma to be a pilsener.

bottle - Pours golden with a thin white head. The aroma is pale malt and a little hops. Some mild hops balances the bread like malts, but it could use more. It’s meant to be a light session brew, but could still use some more flavor. Not bad.

Bottle. Light gold color with a nice big and frothy white head. This beer has aromas of grass, bread dough, a little bit of a musty note and some light spiciness from the hops. Flavor is a little grassy and peppery up front and promises a lot and then fades into a somewhat disappointing nothing of watery bread dough maltiness.

I’m always excited to try a new pilsner, especially in the Bohemian style. Light saaz aroma. Flavor is a little sweet for the style. It doesn’t seem to have adjuncts, but good use a little more bite in the flavor. Light hops here as well. Not as good as real Czech pilsners, but good anyway. Gold color and a tall white head. Well carbonated.

Pale golden coloured body with a soapy white head. Aroma of stale malt, light hops and some other cardboardie type flavours. Light-bodied; Strong taste of malt and old hops in this, with some old tastes very faintly at the end. Aftertase shows more of the same, with the bad lingering taste going strong. Overall, a beer not really worth buying - but neat to try, since its from a very small producer. I sampled this 12 ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 03-March-2007.

This pils poured a yellow colour with a non existant head. Scents include dough/yeast...and thats about it. First sip was not bad but lacked originality. Typical flavour for a pilsner. A little to carbonated but not bad.

I read that bohemian pilsners are bitter, hope not. Pours like a pale yellow american lager in my steeler stein. Aroma of some wet grain and clear dishwater. Begins the flavor with a farely light impression. Taste is acceptable and no alcohol shows thru, it shouldn’t at 4%. Very easy to drink one after another. Fine prickly bubbles in the average carbonation. Barely any offense, if any on the clean finish. Typical pale yellow american beer? Fortunately, not as bitter as I was anticipating. Rates right up there with lionshead pilsner. Much better than Pilsner Urquell.
