Bottle from the hipermarket drunk overlooking a pile of drunk sunburned tourists getting jiggy to bad pop & techno music along Playa de Troya. Super high carb, mostly head on first gentle pour, thick brownish foam on mostly black beer. Roasted, hoppy nose that reminds me of some West Coast imperial stouts. Relatively sweet but with tons of hops to balance: big citrus, very smooth, nice black-and-chocolate-malty complexity. I'd guess there was a bit of extra fermentation still going in the bottle. Excellent (if over-carbed) black IPA!

Aroma: Roasted malt with fruity notes.
Flavour: Sweet roasted malt with bitter coffee and fruity sweetness. Aftertaste is roasted sweet malt with dry bitterness.

330ml bottle from the brewpub. Pours black with a very foamy beige head. Aromas & tastes of coffee, hops & roasted malt. Medium body. Moderate bitter finish.

Liquorice, chocolate and coffee. Not the best dark IPA I’ve had, from the ones I’ve tried it’s either hit or miss with this style of beer.

solsletta 100122. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, pine, grapefruit, cocoa, bonfire, bread. Nice-OK beer.

Bottle, courtesy of KnutAlbert. An almost clear dark brown beer with a finger-thick dark beige head. The aroma has a bit too much caramel, but there's a good resiny, piney hop touch. Dark bread, raisin and chocolate, with some roasted malt notes. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and smoothly carbonated, with a decent bitterness. Roasted malts, caramel, dark bread and hints of chocolate, with a good piney, resiny hoppyness. Some cocoa and bonfire hints towards the finish. Too much focus on the malts here, especially caramel, but it's a decent dark IPA anyway. Nice hoppyness. 220410

0,33l bottle at Airbnb in El Cotillo, bought from Canary Gourmet, El Cotillo. BB 29.12.2023. almost black color, small tan head. smells grassy, earthy, spices, some exotic fruits, toffee. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes earthy, spices, peppery, bit leathery, some mango, pineapple, some coffee, some candy. finishes bit roasty and very lightly bitter with notes of mango, pineapple and some toffee. very nice one, love the mango and pineapple notes on this one. Great to drink.

Bottle from Mr Frog at Hazlemere tasting. Aroma is llooooww... coffee and seaweed. Murky dark brown. Bubbly beige head. Medium bitter. Coffee and liquorice with a resinous streak. Light. Thin. Average carbonation. Long finish. Nice enough.
