Inspired by the fresh, sessionable beers on the Belgian dinner table, we’re bringing back a 2015 favorite. This hoppy Belgian-style pale ale is bright and flavorful with an assertive hop character. Jardinier is French for gardener, and this beer is a veritable garden of flavor— perfect for any occasion, casual or ornate.

Bottle @ ABC Beers Borefts Pre-tasting. Hazy yellow golden color, medium sized a bit fluffy white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, quite yeasty, slightly herbs or spices. Watery texture, low body and carbonation.

Aroma: Aroma is floral and a little grassy, straw / yeast, some funk, fruit, and a bit of spice
Appearance: It pours a cloudy golden color with a thick, frothy, off-white colored head
Flavor: Nice flavor profile here, similar to the aroma, with a bit of funk, spice, and a nice bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, clean and refeshing, crisp, with a fairly lively carbonation level
Overall Impression: Quite refreshing and highly drinkable beer with a good, strong flavor profile. Would be a great beer to to session outside on a hit day. Quite refreshing, though a little less carbonation and a slight toning down of the spice would probably make it even more drinkable. Still, this is a very nice, well-made beer.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 8/13/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy bright golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon zest, orange peel, grapefruit, citrus rind, pear, apple, peppercorn, light pine, light banana/clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/floral hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon zest, orange peel, grapefruit, citrus rind, pear, apple, peppercorn, light pine, light banana/clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of peppery yeast spice and light-moderate floral/grassy hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon/orange peel, grapefruit, citrus rind, pear, apple, peppercorn, light banana/clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/floral hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Light-moderate dryness after the finish. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is a damn nice session saison style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/floral hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. The bottle states this as a Belgian pale ale, but it fits a saison much more accurately. A very enjoyable offering regardless.

750ml bottle pours a murky gold with lots of fluffy, white head. Interesting nose, vegetal, white pepper, coriander, some grass, lemon, mild biscuit. Flavor follows, sweet and peppery, coriander, straw, white flour. Lots of carbonation but dry. Just like they said; table beer.

Pours gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Mild bubblegum and clove aromas. Dry with heather and tropical fruit skin upfront turning to soft caramel and dough before the medium length bitter earth finish.

Sample at the tap room. Hazy yellow-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates steadily to a wispy film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, fruit and grassy hops. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal yeast, citrus, malt and mild hops. The finish is fruity with Belgian yeast aftertaste. Above average overall.
