330ml bottle between three of us (First of the Rainbow 2015 seven that night). Poured a reddish, grubby brown with a thin beige coloured head. Aroma was semi-sweet, malty and with traces of grapefruit: taste followed the same with the grapefruit being the dominating flavour.

Red brown colour. Aroma is strong with hop and caramel. Initially there’s a sweet, caramel maltiness. The hop bitterness is very high. Quite resinous and piney.

Bottle (Rainbow Project) big thanks to Beers Gonzo for keeping hold of this whilst I was on holiday. Consumed at Black Horse campsite, Folkestone, Friday 16th October 2015 Reddy brown in colour with a a good sized white head. US style malty style aroma, hoppy aromas. Tastes stronger than 6.5% the hops are a fruity but punchy affair, malty backbone. It’s a good beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Bottle at home in London - many thanks to Matteo for picking this one up. Pours clear, deep red-amber with a creamy tan head. The nose has heavy pine, ripe citrus, orange, bread, toasted grains. Medium sweet flavor with gooey pine, some grassy bitterness, berries, some cranberries, raisin. Medium to full bodied, a little chewy, with average carbonation. Resinous and lightly warming on the finish with lots more thick pine sap, dried berries, some wood, hearty brown bread, ripe citrus fruits. Pretty thick and chewy, lots of heavy bread and pine. Fairly tasty, but I don’t think I would want to drink this by the pint.

Bottle thanks to Kenny. It pours deep red with a thick beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, red grapefruit, jammy berry, brown bread, black tea and pine. The taste is bitter, piney, resinous, jammy berry, citrus peel, brown bread, varnish, earthy, black tea and wood with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Well-rounded and pretty tasty.
