Bottle split at ABC Beer The Hague, 24/09/2015. Picked up from the Chesham brewery shop. A dark brown chocolate coloured pour with a fading cream head. Aroma is choc malts, earthy charcoal and hints of piney hop. Flavour is compose dof earthy choc, earthy cocoa, pine needle. Palate is semi sweet, bitter earthy finish.

On tap at the cardinals hat ,Lincoln. Deep almost black colour, with an off white head. Aroma has coffee, chocolate and roasted malt, taste roasted malt and rich bitter. Thick body

[9/24/15] Bottle sample at the pre-Borefts tasting at ABC Beers in Den Haag. Thanks everyone who shared bottles! Dark brown. Aroma of roast, yeast, grains. Roasty dry flavor with yeast and a bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied.

Pre Borefts Tasting at ABC beers, Den Haag. Clear brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is crisp and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, trace of dark chocolate. Mild bitterness on the light dry finish. Okay.
