At a beer tasting. Interesting to try beer from Namibia but this was not any good.

Flaske 0,34l. Medbragt av Rune og delt under avskjedsrating i H9 - 3 Des 13. Svart med et svakt rødskjær. Gjørmete. Lavt, litt farget skum som flater ut. Mye kullsyre. Smaken er svisker & bær. Holder seg syrlig.

340ml bottle, 6 % abv, picked up at Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo and shared with Finn back home. A gusher. Unclear dark brown body with a rustic shade. Fast diminishing tan-coloured head. Tart and sweet aroma of dried fruits and yeast. Unsuccessful blend of yeast, caramel malts and sour fruits. Foamy and empty in the mouth. Drain pour (mass online tasting, Tromsø 03.12.2013).

0.34l bottle. After the pop it slowly rises and definitely wants out of the bottle. Easy to see that this has way to much carbonation when pouring it in the glass, cause it immediately forms a gigantic kinda dirty beige looking top that quickly fizzes away. When it has settled it's clear that this is a cloudy really deep dark wood brown colored beer. The nose is a mix between sour wood and sweet caramel. A bit strange to say the least. I have my suspicions that there might be a little infection going on here. Yeah, ehm. This is not drinkable. Soapy water added lemon and wood chips - leaving it for a year in a clear bottle and you might get something like this. Well, perhaps I'm a bit rough now, but this is a horrible tasting thing. Should I perhaps for the first time ever go back to the place I bought this and demand my money back? Tempting, but if I know myself I won't. Anyhow, this is rubbish. Stay clear! 14.09.2013

Sour aroma with hints of cherries. Similar taste. Not what you would.expect from a bock beer, or ’dark wheat beer’.

34cl bottle (6%) from Vinmonopolet Vika. Pours hazy dark brown with a large off-white head. Fruity aroma with strong notes of blackcurrant, reminds me a bit of blackcurrant syrup. Also dark fruits, yeast, malt, licorice, raisins, sour candy and hints of alcohol. Quite strange, but not unpleasant. Moderate sweet with some sour notes and somewhat dry and lightly bitter finish. Medium body with too liveley carbonation. Can’t reconize much of the wheat aromas and it’s certainly a bit strange, but quite drinkable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Camelthorn Bokbeer on 22 Sep 2013 at 22:01 - Score: 6

12.08.2013, 0,34l bottle (6%) @ home:
Big very fizzy mediumlasting head. Aroma is kind of strange and overcarbonated, dark malts, broth, anchovies, salty caramel, dough, toast, dark fruits, dark sugar. Taste is weird sour and neutral, dark malts, sorrel, soda powder, grass. Very overcarbonated. Two sips, then down the drain...
