On tap at Brasseries de Liege. Darker amber coloured, small off-white head, malty caramel nose. Sweet malty, caramel, notes of dried fruits and touch of honey with some alcohol in the finish. One-dimensional.

Aroma of malt, bread, caramel, toffee, brown sugar. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bittersweet finish. Drinkable Scotch Ale, but too toffee sweetish for my taste, a bit dull.

A clear reddish brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of resins, reddish malt, caramel. Taste of sweetish caramel, red malt, raisins, plums.

Süffiger, weich herber Beginn, milde Röstnoten. Eher trocken, wenig würzig. etwas kräutrig. Belanglos. 10/7/8/7/6/7

Bottle 0,25ltr: Clear dark brown colored brew with an red glow, mellow sweet bitter taste with caramel hints.

Ne cherchez pas la finesse sur cette scotch CTS, vous serez déçu. Pareillement, on ne peut pas dire que les 7,2 % soient d'une efficacité remarquable et nous sommes en présence d'une bière mollassonne avec un manque de caractère. En verre nous sommes sur une robe brune avec une faible effervescence quasiment sans mousse. Le nez est sur le caramel, le pain noir et le vin madérisé. En bouche, c'est stéréotypé, trop sucré sans être mauvais toutefois. De légères épices apparaissent mais ce qui retient l'attention c'est le manque de vivacité. Et si la corpulence est honnête le final est bien trop court. Moyennasse.

Flesje gedronken met Tomhendriksen. Rood-bruin bier met weinig tot geen schuim. Het heeft een intense geur van hout, caramel en gedroogd fruit, vooral pruim. De smaak is zoet, moutig, caramel achtig toffee en fruitig van pruimen, druiven. Het fruitige van de smaak blijft even hangen in de mond.

*Rating overgezet* Het is een donkerbruin bier met weinig tot geen schuim. Het heeft een complexe geur van caramel en gedroogd fruit. De smaak is moutig, caramel, pruimen, druiven en toffee achtig.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Malty, soft roast aroma. Malty sweetish soft roasty flavor. Hint of coffee. caramel. Not a lot of character, but decent enough.

From the bottle. Brown with a sticky, frothy head that lingers. Mild malt aromas with traces of caramel and dirty rug. You could call it oddly earthy if wishing to be charitable. Taste is sweet, full of caramel and dried fruits but dusty at the end. Medium body. Slightly warming. The alcohol is well hidden. Drinkable but subpar for the style.
