Bottle from De Biefliefhebber. Aroma is spicy peppery yeast, floral notes, bready pale malt, coriander, some banana and apricot, with a hint of funk. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and light bitter. Dry finish, body is medium. A fine Tripel, nice yeast, dry finish.

75cl bottle @ beer share Christmas outing, The Coracle. Pours a misty golden orange, good fluffy white head. Aroma brings a good sweet spicy introduction, overall character reliant on spiced sweet triple yeast, nice balanced carbonation. Has a good sweet bite and crispness of flavours beholden of all good triples. Not a bad take on the style and made a nice change from all the imperial stouts and sours. Went well with onion bhajis and samosas from the Indian next door.

Tap in a Hood River pub. Bit funky, strawberries and cream. Bubblegum. Touch grainy, cherry, nice enough. Some kind of saison triple hybrid.

Bottle (750ml) picked up from Beer Gonzo webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry. Consumed at home Attenkirchen listening to Steve Lamaq 6Music. This pours a warm gold with a white head. Honey on the nose, a touch spicy on the nose though this carries over into the mouth. Lovely softness in the mouth, a little sweet and Loz whilst thinking it's ok is a touch underwhelmed. A little heat at the back end. Good but I agree (a little) with Loz, could be better.

375ml bottle. Cloudy, brass colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Yeasty fruity and slightly bready, malty aroma, notes of apricot and peach, hints of sweet bread, some orange zest. Taste is dry, sweet-ish, yeasty fruity, minimally tart-ish, minimally yeasty spicy, notes of apricot and peach, a touch of quince, orange, orange zest, slightly biscuity and bready malty basis, a touch of white pepper, minimally dusty, yeasty overtones as well.

Bottle 75 cl. pours golden with a slight haze and a white head. Spicy, perfumy nose - coriander? Rich body, very fruity and fresh, a slight yeastiness combined with a tart, floral whiff. No real bitternes and doesn't come out boozy either. 020419

On tap @ Ghetto Something. Aroma is yeasty, floral, peppery and herbal. Pours clear dark golden color with thick creamy white head, good lacing and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts with sweet caramel and bread, follows by mild spicy yeast, coriander, banana and fruity esters, mouthfeel is warm, although alcohol is well hidden. Full body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Vivid farmhouse tripel that’s not so boring as some Belgians could be...
