Schramm’s Apple Reserve is made from the most pure of recipes: fresh pressed cider from estate grown apples & raw honey. More than 30 modern and heirloom apple varieties were selected, grafted and grown by Ken Schramm, then hand harvested and pressed to create the best possible combination of apple flavors for this mead. This cyser pairs deliciously with chicken & turkey dishes on a crisp fall day.

375 ml bottle. Batch 5. Pours a honey gold color. The aroma is soft and faint with apple peel. The taste is honey and apples-both sweet and tart. The palate is full and viscous. Finishes long and sweet with lingering honey. Overall: Very nice--reminds me of some Canadian ice ciders..

Clear golden with no head. Aroma of soft red apple, apple core, floral honey, tart green apple and woody notes. Flavour is light heavy sweet and above light sour. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

375ml autographed bottle at share. Pale golden, white wine look, crystal clear. Aroma is apples with a touch of honey. Taste is more big apple flavors, more honey . Sweet and thick, but taste is almost pure apple juice.

Bottle @ Grote Dorst pre Quintessence share. Pours clear yellow, still. Notes of sweet floral honey, lots of heavy sweet apple, subtle acidity. Very impressed with this!

Sampled from the tap at the meadary. Pours a clear yellow with no head whatsoever. Aroma combines apple and dry and sweet honey. Flavor has a bit of a sweet apple pie note with a touch of honey.

Bottle at the Mar Claire. Pours a clear yellow gold with no head. The aroma is honey, apple skin, vanilla. Medium body, apple juice, vanilla, honey, light booze finish, really enjoyed this.

Sampled at Schramms where it pours up with a clear pure gold body that supports a tiny ring of bubbles and tosses up like sheet legginess. The aroma offers up plenty of apple as well as a waxy earthy apple note and some honeycomb mixed with a faint booziness at the end of the draw. The taste is silky smooth and sweet and brings up an apple sweet honey richness that forces you to savor it for as long as possible. To midway some honeycomb like wax and fresh apple earthiness joins in and takes this to the finish. Just yummers. This would be great in pancakes or ice cream.

Bottle - Wonderful fleshy apple with a touch of vanilla and light honey. Clear gold. Apple, honey, vanilla all in perfect harmony. A superb showing.
