From tap at Little Delirium, Amsterdam. Nutty aroma with chocolate, dark malt, caramel, ripe red fruits, cold coffee, not much coconut. Flavour is medium sweet with a little bitterness. Body is medium, feels a bit thin for the aroma. Nice Porter, wish this were fuller with more coconut though.

Bottled. Deep rubyish brown colour with a mediumsized creamy off-white head, which leaves some lace and lasts for a good while. Aroma is chocolate, some coconut, mild herbal notes with some nutty and slight roasted notes as well. Flavour is chocolate, coconut, some nutty and mild roasted notes. A bit tobacco in the finish too along with the chocolate and roast.

The 22 oz bottle I am tasting was delivered to me by my son who obtained a mix of stouts from Tavour. He has a bottle also and we are sharing a tasting by FaceTime. I will be pouring into my Buffalo Bayou snifter this evening. Caldera is a new brewer to us, certainly no distribution of this Oregon producer in west Texas. Porters tend to be bit light for me, I prefer the depth of an imperial porter, but I do like coconut considerably. And on with the show, I see a dark amber-brown entry with a consistent khaki head. The smell is appealing, chocolate and pecans. A drink gives the chocolate again, the barest touch of coconut and an usual sourish raspberry effect. Not bad exactly, I can drink sours, but different for a porter. I'll finish the bottle but not be looking for a next one.

On Tap at Berts, Ontario. Clear dark brown pour with a scant brief tan head. Moderate roast, some sweet spice and a touch of coconut I suppose. Not mcu. Subtle, definately not over done. A nice Brown ale but not mch more than that.

Tap at Brody’s. Black with fluffy light tan head. Sweet chocolatey and toasted and roasty coconut. Quite sweet and moderate bitter, bit rusty and light sour. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not very nice. But decent.

Bottle split at CBC Covent Garden, thanks to Kenny, 20/11/18. Dark mahogany brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is chocolate, toffee crisp, hint of coconut milk, dried fruits, dark malts. Taste comprises light fruit cake notes, charr, mellow roast, cocoa sprinkle, trace of Bounty Bar. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation, drying close. Ok stout but let down by being over carbed.
