Bottle 7/272 from 2013 shared. Almost clear golden with white head and a few tiny floaters. Gooseberries, white grapes, funk, hay, soft matches, a bit of wood glue, pine wood, lemon, lots of aromatic herbs, more pine. Wow this has lots of fresh aromatic wood which is a bit unusual but quite pleasant. Medium sour, under medium bitter and light sweet. Medium bodied. Very nice but a classic Belgian geuze it's not.

Bottle @ Benzai is uitgepierd tasting, 10 cl sample. Slight hazy golden color, short frothy head. Beautiful fruity nose, apricot, leach. Soft sourness in taste, funk. Usually American sours or lambics are pure nailpolish and absurdly sour, but this one is exceptionally well made. Wonderful.

Bottle @ "Benzai is zo dood als een pier tasting". Clear apple juice like golden orange color, average to decently sized white to off-white head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is lightly sour with sweet peach and apricot. Very nice! Taste is moderately sour, peach, apricot, dry, lingering sour fruitpeel bitter but somehow in a nice way, and continuously sweet peach coming through. Suitable body and carbonation. Very nice indeed!!

No head; ochre-orange, clear beer. Lambic-like nose, with horseblanket, sour grapes, lemonpeel and toilet soap. Horseblanket, sweet woodruff, garden herbs, turmeric; spicy, yet sweet. Lipstick in the aftertaste. Medium bodied, quite slick, and apparently a bit of oxydation. Not half bad. But whatever American raters may think of it, this ainβt a gueuze, sorry.

Thanks Huhzubendah for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing well filtered honey with no head. The nose shows very strong and horse blanket with an old oak barrel. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Lightly tart with a moderately strong oak forwardness and a white wine bitterness on the finish. Lacks enough tartness to really elevate it to a proper gueuze.

750ml bottle pours a dark orange with a ring of white head. Nose is big with acetic acid, grapefruit rind, heavy sour orange, fermenting grapes, candlewax. Flavor is heavy with acetic acid and vitamin C tablets, heavy grapefruit, sour wood, grass, a touch of ammonia. Full, tart finish.
