Saison de Dottignies is a high-fermenting saison with a relatively low alcohol content which makes for a well-balanced beer.

Taste: Full of taste, but very drinkable. Heavily-hopped and thirst-quenching - typical of saison-styled beers.

330 ml bottle. Pours a bright amber with light head. Aromas of fruity Belgian yeast, stoned fruit and bready malts. Flavors of bitter citrus, herbal almost earthy hops and dry toasted malts. Quite a difference between nose and taste with the latter quite bitter.

Bottle, 5.5%. Mostly lagery aroma, perhaps with a touch of acid, but does not smell funky. Hazy dark golden colour. Good stable white head. The flavour is quite bitter and quite yeasty with a hint of fruit. Not so complex, but ok. 636314 / 6 6 6 6 7

Cuerpo medio crujientemente carbonatada, fondo dulce, final amargo y seco. Muy rica

Bottle at home from Slijterij De Laat. Pours a deeper golden with a thick white head. Nose is grass, phenols, light grainy notes, in no particular order. Taste is malty notes (light honey and bread), then a lightly fruity, grassy, herbal turn. Closes with a moderately bitter, dry, grassy finish. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation.

Crisp, refreshing, and quite hoppy for a saison. Strong bitterness, big lemon oil, and citrus zest aromas and flavours with some strong malted wheat. A great session saison, a great example of a free fleshing everyday Belgian style saison that everyone can enjoy, very well rounded and balanced.

Bottiglia.

Aroma of light malt, yeast, some fruits, spicy notes, hop. Flavour is light sweet, but lacks tartness. Finish is dry and medium bitter. Refreshing and easily drinkable. Could have used some funk and tartness though.
