On a pilgrimmage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly coffee beans -- threw them in and created damn good aromas, a thick fudge-like body, pitch black color and obviously only made it in limited amounts. And the taste.... furthermore Jesus!

Tap at TCBW. Opaque brown colour, medium-sized brownish head. Toasted, coffeish aroma. Full-bodied. Roasted, coffeish, a bit sweet edge. Light hops. Very robust.

330ml can. Pours jet black with a small head. Aroma is oily bitter roast and coffee. Taste has light roast to start with a strong, bitter coffee finish. Oily aftertaste.

330ml can. Pours pitch black with a dark tan head. Aroma of intense coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate. Taste is the same, really intense coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate, strong bitterness. Full bodied, incredibly thick mouthfeel, smooth. Fantastic.

Can. Very dark brown with a medium head. Very big coffee aroma, with some toffee and dark fruit accents. Nice and rich, so big that the alcohol is only a minor flavour component. Coffee is huge here. Rich sticky dark sugars. Nice underlying fruitiness, the whole burnt raisins and figs thing. In a way, it's not actually that complicated, but all the elements are balanced and they're all quite good. Just a rock solid imperial stout.

$7.79 bottle, Wine Warehouse. Pours THICK and black with a small very dark brown head. Aroma is sweet dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, fudge, brownie, hint of flowers. Flavor is tangy dark chocolate, light dark fruit, alcohol, earth, charcoal (not quite ash), fudge. Very thick and slick. Really tasty.
