Pineapple mead with Serrano, jalapeno and ghost peppers.

So many dare to speak of me, run with me, to dance with me, advocate for me... Where are those who dare to drink with me? I am B. Nektar and I am here to do B. Nektar’s work. To tempt the world and spread the sin of the B. It is but a small sacrifice to uncork this bottle and indulge in it’s succulent pineapple and honey sweetness. Savor the smoke of hell as the jalapeño, Serrano and ghost peppers delicately sear your tongue. The initiation begins.

BEAR THE MARK OF THE B.

From a bottle at the Brony bottle share at Travlrs place. Pours clear gold with no head. Aroma of llowers. Tastes of honey, lilac and chili. Powerfully spicy finish.

Willrunforbeer’s grand mead tasting. Mostly clear color with a light haze in the center. Nose is mostly just pineapple juice, no hint of pepper. The flavor is a different story.

The flavor starts sweet with light honey and pineapple then slams you with sharp pepper spice and hotness. The spice lingers one my tongue for a good 2 minutes after the sip. The second sip got more intense heat then the initial sip. I’m sorry I just don’t find a blast of chili peppers in any mead or beer enjoyable. I really hope this trend in mead making and beer brewing is over. After 2 ounces I simply didn’t want anymore.

Thanks WillRun for sharing this bottle. It pours a very light reddish yellow. No legs, looks quite light and not very oily. I smell pineapple, ginger, lemonade, honeycomb and a sharp spicy note that clears out the nostrils. Ho boy this is spicy. Burns at the back of the throat and back of the tongue. Pineapple does help with the spice in balancing things out. Body is very thin, sweet and a little bit herbal. I like it but maybe a bit less spice.
