Pours black, good , dark head that fades fast. Smell is robustly roasted, yet not ashy. Milder red fruity notes are clearly showing, but not recognizable as raspberry. Taste is rather bitter, sharp at start, but gets mellowed out by a robust, intense, red fruity, almost jammy sidenote. Would have personally preferred a thicker, sweeter basestout for this type of combo ( style raspberry with chocolate in food ) but its certainly very well made.

Smell is malty and fruity with roasted malts, chocolate, raspberries, coffee, soil and hints of alcohol. Taste is sweet, malty and fruity. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny astringent, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Black color, beige head. Chocolatey, roasty, sweet, with a very good raspberry presence.
Balanced and layered. Excellent.

Bottle - Dark chocolate and berry notes. Deep brown with a light brown head. Chocolate, sweet berry and nice dark malts. Nice.

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out rich blackberries, some cocoa and bready notes. Flavour is like a pure liquid black forest cake, full of blackberries and light cocoa notes. Just enough sweetness to lend to this. Great balance, with lots of depth. Really nice stuff.

Dark brown, thick head. The aroma is subtly fruity, sweet, nice chocolatey taste and good balance.
