Corked bottle, courtesy of Ferris, likely 8 years old
Dull golden colour, haze. Aroma of ginger, soap, wax, lemon peel. Sweet but not syrupy, with sharp ginger character, and wax from the honey, hot alcohol but not boozy.
I didn't expect to appreciate a ginger mead, but Schramm did it.

Poured from 750mL bottle (thanks Ferris). Hazed gold with no head. Lots of ginger, underlying honey, nice balance.

750ml @ home shared with Farees and Alex. Appearance: hazy straw with ginger pieces stuck here and there in the middle of the bottle to give us an idea of how thick this one is. Aroma: loads of ginger, spicy, honey sweetness. Taste: along the same lines, quite spicy and sweet simultaneously. Overall: if you like ginger - you will fall in love, if not - you will still appreciate it.

Bottle received in trade. 750 ml bottle with white wax identified as Costa Rican ginger version. Clear golden pour leaving some nice legs. Huge tropical evergreen and of course peppery ginger nose. Tropical honey and light alcohol. Sweet and peppery. Round oily mouth. Amazing tropical honey and peppery ginger character. Bottle. Pours a clear gold with no head. The aroma is honey, booze, strong ginger. Medium body, strong ginger, honey, light spice, boozy finish, really enjoyed this.

Bottle sample @ Troy’s Bday tasting @ Stein & Vine. Thanks Tchaos. Dorée claire, pâle, huileux au verre. Arôme reste fantastique avec un gingembre qui y trouve sa place ajoutant de belles notes épicées sans tomber dans le dominant, rétro cloying, mielleux fleuri. Palais est cloying, épicé du gingembre, douceur mielleuse reste fort présenté avec ce fini épicé qui perdure et balance le tout. La saveur du gingembre est plus intense que dans la version plus répandue mais s’assure de ne pas arriver dans un extrême comme Khunhenn avec sa série des Cinnamonster.

Only 50 bottles made. Looks like this test mead is slightly better than the regular ginger. It was intense and really only enjoyable in small quantities.
A - Golden yellow, a little haze / tiny sediment. Looks much darker than regular Ginger had side-by-side.
S - Smells spicy, oily, very faint ginger with unsweetened melon.
T - is is very spicy compared to the other ginger. Almost intense, spicy, oily, really a ton going on here. Straight up ginger but this super spicy taste.
M - Dense, thick, not overly sweet.
O - I enjoyed this considerably more than the other. Still wish I loved Ginger.

750 ml bottle shared by AdamJackson, thanks buddy! during Brian’s Grand Mead tasting. Lightly hazy color. Aroma shows me more spice than the standard ginger which we had side by side.
Flavor is indeed strong intense ginger, ginger snap cookie they said?? Perhaps... I’m mean a metric ton of ginger. Thankfully the honey is pretty strong but barely enough to balance the ginger. Long and strong lingering ginger.... Snappy indeed. Wow!!

Poured from bottle thanks AdamJackson. Light yellow pour with no head. Strong aroma of ginger and honey and hint of lemon. Taste is sweet with a lingering spice feel and hints of vanilla.
