Bottle. Reddish-amber coloured, small, quite stable off-white head. Moderate sweet-fruity to grainy nose with a tinge of alcohol and some hoppy edges. Medium to full bodied, solid bitter-sweet flavour. Not very sweet, but solid vinous-malty finish with some distinctive hoppy influences and a warming touch of alcohol. Quite dry, well balanced Doppelbock.......

(33cl bottle) Clear, reddish amber colour with a light-beige, medium-sized foamy head. Sweet cara-malty nose with toasty notes and slightly herbal hops with a touch of metal. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a calm carbonation. Solid cara-malty base with an ashy and slightly toasted touch; sweet-bitter malty and slightly alcoholic finish with a shy herbal hoppy blend. All in all not world-shaking (12.XI.08).
