Ruling proudly over Glen Fyne and beyond, Jarl is our flaghip session blonde ale. A showcase for American hop, Citra, Jarl delivers waves of fruity citrus flavours and a clean finish. Jarl is the epitome of a modern classic - an easy-drinking, beautifully balanced session ale bursting with flavour. Fyne Ales was one of the first UK breweries to use Citra hops when we created Jarl in 2010..

16oz can from Salt Horse. Very pale clear golden with a spotty head. Light, sweet malty aroma. Taste brings more malts along with a dry, mouth coating bitterness. Not a lot of flavor, but the bitterness lingers and clings to the palate.

Bottle found on the Calmac ferry. Pours with good light gold and reasonably solid foam. Smells of soft sweet hops, nothing in the background. Tastes of soft hops, slightly bitter. There's okay carbonation but a little thin. Pretty simple and boring.

Pours a clear light yellow, small head. Aroma is very much in-line with a classic golden ale. Floral, nutty, with lots of English hops, grassy and herbal, honey. Light body. Flavour is mild and malty, lots of flavour for the abv. Nice sweetness, honey, grassy, nutty. Lovely low abv golden ale.
